Hear ye, hear ye: More music happening this weekend in the Lehigh Valley. But how? I suspect a lot of the credit or reason is due to/from the hard work of musicians who build music out of the thin air (at times and occasionally with their lungs and body) and/or with the help of physically crafted objects/instruments (at other times or sometimes at the same time). And of course, we have to acknowledge that music is often heard in a setting. This time around it will be on the pleasant patio (“courtyard”) of (and behind) the Connexions Gallery.
So, who’s playin???
Answer:
John Galm (Lehigh Valley… folky~ambient ish music. Just a goddamn hometown hero),
Eilidh (new performer from the Lehigh Valley that’ll be mixing it up between electronic music and some choreographed movements),
Was (NYC post rock on tour with….)
SHANDE (Philly folk pop… who’s folk, you may ask? Great question. Maybe it sounds like someone took a Klezmer band and said, “hey do you mind figuring out what it would sound like if David Bazan and an Elephant 6 band had a baby?” and they did, but ya know through their lense, ya dig?).
The obvious truth is that this show is going to be a very good time!
The thing that we gotta make clear: THIS GOOD TIME IS AN EARLY AFTERNOON GOOD TIME. Starts at 1PM… and it’s not to be missed, friend! The sounds are gonna be good, the vibes will be right, and the friendly feelings/friend potential will be choice.
Bring $10 for the door and a little more to buy some records!
Okay, well, if that doesn’t resonate with you… sheesh, I don’t know what to say.
See ya Sunday at 1PM in Easton.
